The York Center for Environmental Engineering and Science (YCEES) is home for
many of New Jersey Institute of Technology's (NJIT) environmental centers,
programs and initiatives. The centers are housed in NJIT's $11 million Otto H.
York Center for Environmental Engineering and Science, the first building in the
nation especially constructed for cooperative public and private research in
hazardous waste management.

The Meadowlands Environmental Research Institute (MERI) serves as the scientific
and technological arm of the New Jersey Meadowlands Commission (NJMC). MERI's
scientists monitor environmental conditions, conduct research and develop and
apply technology to address the environmental problems of the Hackensack Meadowlands
District.
The Highlands Environmental Research Institute (HEnRI) >>
The Highlands Environmental Research Institute (HEnRI) was established as a clearinghouse to
coordinate environmental research, disseminate environmental knowledge, & promote its application
in the work of conserving the Highlands natural resources.
HEnRI provides unbiased, scientifically based information about conditions in the Highlands,
current trends, and probable outcomes.
